What’s happened to the weather, cold crisp beautiful days, great !!
Yesterday we were being watched by two deer, very difficult to notice hiding in the long grass, and they spotted us first, they moved off slowly but were still in the area half an hour later.
Quite a few Teal on the long pond, soon as the temperature drops they appear.
A couple of large skeins of geese were travelling north today, probably up to the Solway.
The Greenfinch were on the feeders again, and they squabble just like the Goldfinch, using the large beak to attack the opponent.
There are lots of Wren about this year but they tend to stay hidden in the low undergrowth, but managed to take a shot of one this morning.
