These little creatures are taking advantage of the warm wet weather and emerge from the long grass onto the paths, they are still only small, see photo, and have a lot of bulking up before winter. We also came across an adult on top of the tip, pity we couldn’t show them side by side.
Herons
There are a few around the ponds this time of year and we keep seeing two of this years young, one pictured, with his/hers happy smiling face.
