Monday 3rd December

On Sunday it was a beautiful crisp morning see shot of mountains, and after a really cold night the birds were all around the feeders, they came down for the food as we were still topping up, the Robins and Coal Tits just ignored us, never seen so many different types and numbers so keen to be fed.
Going through some old photos, came across shots of a Brown Hawker Dragonfly that was busy laying eggs when attacked by another, it fell off the leaf into the water and slowly drowned, sequence of photos numbered 1 to 7.
It’s a very hard life for these insects, on another occasion a Migrant Hawker strayed into the territory of a Emperor, and the shot taken as the Emperor caught the Migrant and has it by the tail.
