Hi, as Bri has said with all the rain everything is more than soggy and in places the paths are very flooded. Bri and I were talking just recently remarking that the two cygnets seem to have survived. A few weeks ago the famly left the long pond returning now and again. Alas this morning as I walked over the tip I noticed the swans and sadly one of the cygnets was missing, Has it gone its own way?….I think not. What a shame but the recent inclement weather may have been too much for it. I photographed them near to one of the fishing platforms which has almost disappeared due to the amount of water as indeed has the other platform. See attached images. This weekend also gave us the first fall of snow on the fells this winter…..is this an omen of things to come ?
