The following link is the proposed coastal path for Walney, the majority is already in existence but there are a few new paths. The maps are very poor to read as they have been faded, the two attached copies have been slightly enhanced, and it looks like a new path is down the northern side of the airfield fence, from Gate 4 to the Channel, but it’s not just the coastal path it’s all the restrictions that come with it, see attached copy. Comments on the proposal must be submitted to Natural England by the 21st November on the appropriate forms.
The Large White Egret is still visiting the long pond it has now been resident for a month, Herons are also still visiting but keeping well away from it.
