Friday 5th October

The rain still falling, will it ever stop, not seen the ponds so full for years and most of the paths are flooded, boots are no use, it just goes through the hole in the top.
The swans have finally gone, Ian saw them heading in the direction of Sandscale Haws.
Even with all this wet weather there are still a few Fox moth caterpillars about.
Slugs are really plentiful, anybody have a good recipe, going to be even more, see photo.
Lots of Snipe in the dip near the first fence , put up about a dozen, difficult to photograph they lift off like rockets.
Our little white mallard is still here, see photo.
Some very good example’s of spiders web about, took photo of a couple, look just like lace.
