Monday June 4th

A much better day than yesterday, still a cool wind but the sun certainly helps to lift the temperature.
We saw two families of longtailed tits between the feeders, one of 10 and the other of 6 and then they all joined up together.
At the seat we were given a very nice surprise when a male Bullfinch arrived with 3 possibly 4 siblings, and we watched one being fed and then for about five minutes as they searched for food in the willow trees.
Came across our first Large Skipper and then shortly after a Large Pearl Bordered Fritillary.
No Short Eared Owl today but Terry had seen it earlier.
Put up a hind out of the willows, no sign of it’s fawn but they are due any time now.
Another addition to Brian the farmers family.
