Wednesday 12th June

Yesterday we spotted a nest in one of the willow trees adjoining the field but could not clearly see the occupant, and today there were three young Carrion crows peeping over the top, photo of two attached.

When we arrived back at the cars Bob observed a movement in the ashes of one of the recent fires, it turned out to be a Kestrel scavenging for food, it then moved to two other fire sites before flying off, photo attached of last one. It is well known for seagulls and crows to find food from our rubbish but this is the first time we have seen a Kestrel.

This afternoon came across a family of Great Tits being fed by the adults, managed a couple of photos.
