Well the weather forecast was wrong again and it stayed fine for the very rare summer visitor from Media City, the BBC Gardeners World team led by Carol Klein. They spent the day filming a variety of plants that prefer the dune habitat. Steve Benn was there guide and he has promised to let us know when the program will be broadcast.
Apart from the above it has been quiet, the daily changes in the temperature correlate with the numbers of insects, when it’s up there are lots when it’s down there are few. The flowers are also suffering with the wet, the blanket of Eyebright, normally open and eye catching, is all closed up but the grass is loving it, even Bob looks small.
While taking shots of the swifts the above stuck out as odd or is it just the eye that cannot decipher??
